Need for Speed Most Wanted
Electronic Arts, all major formats, £29.99-£34.99 - Out Now
Imagine how it must feel in today's restrictive society to be an avid wearer of Reebok Classics, white baseball caps and heavy gold jewellery. All you want to do is soup up your Peugeot 106, cruise for laydeez all day and maybe pop down the job centre when necessary, and yet you're branded worse than a serial-paedo rapist by the red-tops and general society alike. You only want the simple life and they scream CHAV SCUM at you in return. What a welcome respite it must be, then, when noted games publisher Electronic Arts releases its latest Need for Speed title. Here, at last, is a game that celebrates the Chav, a game that rewards the pimping of one's ride to extreme proportions and actively encourages you to get into some giant-exhaust-scraping-on-speed-bumps action. Need for Speed Most Wanted continues where its predecessor, NFS Underground, left off, revving up the petrol headed series another notch by reintroducing the coppers last seen in NFS Hot Pursuit and adding some pointless story sections for good measure. Chavtastic fun all round.
