Everybody's Golf
SCEE, PS2, £29.99 - Out 23 September 2005
It's been five years since its last outing on the PSone, but Everybody's Golf has finally hit the PS2! Everybody's Golf has 12 courses (five old and seven new), 24 golfers and 10 caddies to play with, including PS2 faves Ratchet and Clank, and Jak and Daxter. Single player mode allows you to compete in tournaments, racking up experience points in a quest to turn pro, or a versus mode, with the bonus of unlocking new characters. Also included are two mini golf games (great fun) and a nine-hole, par three course for trying your luck at hole-in-ones. And with offline and online multiplayer options for up to 50 people, Everybody's Golf has it all to offer! The first thing to hit you as you start the game is the very youthful looking characters, you can't help but think the game was designed with five-year olds in mind! Having said that, the characters and courses look outstanding, and there's some great banter between the golfers and their caddies, whilst a Homer-esque ‘doh' can be heard from the crowd when you get things a bit wrong! Everybody's Golf is good fun to play, and will keep you glued to the TV for hours. Well done to developers Clap Handz in getting such an enjoyable golf game onto the PS2 – EA and Tiger Woods take note! Review by James Cocks
