First an admission: I'm a Scrubs fan. Ok, there I said it. Any semblance of impartiality is going out the window right now because I L-U-V Scrubs. And you know what? It doesn't matter one bit if I'm biased, because if you've ever given over 25 minutes of your life to the hotwired hospital antics of JD and Turk (and Elliot, Carla, Kelso and Perry), you'll doubtless love Scrubs too. Still not convinced? Then take the example of my very lovely girlfriend. She was no Scrubs fan. She thought it was alright, but not a patch on the (also very good, but very different) Green Wing. She didn't think she was going to change her mind. But then do you know what happened? Scrubs Season 2 arrived on DVD. And – let me be absolutely clear on this – Scrubs on DVD is even better than Scrubs on the tellybox – there're no adverts for a start. And you can actually watch all 22 episodes of season 2 back-to-back. In surround sound. With bonus features. So now my lovely girlfriend L-U-V-S Scrubs. And, if you have any sense whatsoever, you'll go to the shops immediately and get ready to fall in love with Scrubs yourself. |
